On the plus side, has reduced its GHG emissions by 17% normalized to sales each year, and in 2009 set an aggressive goal to reduce water use by 40% normalized to sales by 2011. Water efficiency measures include installing high-efficiency water scrubbers that reduce water use by 75%, reducing water use during rinse cycles, installing high-efficiency pumps, and recycling and reusing treated wastewater.
